Student Assistants

Job Description

The School of Design in Stockwell Street, Greenwich is looking to appoint a pool of support assistants who will be tasked with aiding the administrative and technical areas of the School – consisting of the admin office, design studios, workshop and TV Studios.

Specific duties will vary according to support areas but will include assisting with events, exhibitions and open days, preparation and monitoring studio and technical spaces and operating resources and equipment particular to those courses within the School of Design.

While support assistants may be assigned specifically to those areas, portability and flexibility between duties will also be necessary from time to time.

These posts are crucial to the smooth running of institutional operations: reliability, approachability and adaptability are essential as well as a willingness to learn.

Support Assistants are expected to be proactive and work primarily on campus but may be offered the opportunity to work at off-site venues around the UK as well. Work will be offered on a flexible basis and may include evening and occasional weekend work.

Willingness to represent the University and excellent customer service is essential and we are particularly keen to interview those who are passionate about their course and the University.
