Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Researcher Development Team as the Researcher Development Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven organisational and communication skills to join an innovative department and award-winning team.

Your role will sit within the Researcher Development team based in Research, Partnerships and Innovation, who have been nationally recognised for their sector-leading development programme. The team works flexibly and responsively to meet internal and external needs and challenges, and is friendly, supportive, and collaborative. We are committed to supporting researchers by enhancing their University experience and contributing to their career development. Across the University, the team plays an essential role in the creation and maintenance of productive research environments.

This varied role forms a pivotal part of supporting the team with diverse activities in marketing and communications, newsletter creation, events management, finance and activities within our newly launched online learning management system.

The right person will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, have excellent IT literacy, team-working and comfortable working with data. We would welcome applications from staff who would like to take this up as a secondment opportunity, having sought agreement in principle from their line manager in advance.
