Lecturer in Sociology

Fixed Term Full Time
Job Description

Are you a lecturer who is teaching and research focused in sociology? Then come and join our team with wide-ranging interests across sociology and the social sciences more generally.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A PhD in Sociology (or near completion)
  • Up-to-date, broad-based knowledge of sociology sufficient to teach widely across our undergraduate programme
  • A proven interest in social inequality

This is a full-time, fixed term post for 12 months, to cover a period of maternity leave, starting on the 9th April 2021.

We recognise that there is a lot of uncertainty in the sector at present and full support would be provided for delivering any online teaching. We are a sociable and supportive sociology team who meet regularly online.
