Job Description

This is a new role that has been created due to the high volume of work the HR team have due to additional demands this year. We are looking for an ER Manager to support our 5 Bakeries with our ER cases and to provide a consistent approach to managing our cases and to provide recommendations for improvements and training for Line Managers.

Key accountability will be to support the BBCo HR teams at all locations, primarily in ER case management but also some generalist areas of immediate business focus i.e. recruitment, occupational health/absence management/ projects as required.

In order to ensure we can continue to make fantastic biscuits, and to help us on this amazing journey, we are proud to announce that in 2019 we completed the acquisition of a premium sweet and savoury biscuit manufacturer Thomas Fudge’s, also in 2019 we acquired Scottish bakers Paterson Arran. This increases our baking capabilities across a number of new sweet and savoury categories.

As a result, we now have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans. In total we employ circa 2,000 people around across our locations.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

You will need to have strong employee relations experience, coupled with change management and experience in a medium/senior HR role within a unionised environment.

Experience of operating in a medium to large FMCG manufacturing environment.
