Data analytics Apprenticeship

Job Description

We’re reimagining the future of movement. Our vision of a sustainable future of modern luxury by design is at the heart of our next generation thinking and our new generation of talent. Pioneering apprentices, change-driving undergraduates and ground-breaking graduates all play their part.

Together with everyone who proudly works at Jaguar Land Rover, you can be the future of movement. Going from A-B is changing, for good. Can you take us there?

Our Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship programmes are aimed at people who have a passion for learning and a passion for pioneering. Ambitious, innovative and determined people, who respect our heritage and think beyond the challenges of today to build the cars of tomorrow. With a blend of hands-on experience and qualifications to target, you will work on projects that are fundamental to our global success.

Innovation starts life in numbers. Data dictates where we go next. You’ll tell us what it’s saying. But first, we need to make you fluent in this unique language. By the end of the programme, you’ll understand data structures, software development procedures and the analytical tools we use. So, when we ask for your recommendation, your response will be impressive.

As a DTS Apprentice on the data analytics pathway you could be based in one of the following key areas:

InDigital – you will learn data structures, software development procedures and how to effectively use our analytical tools. You will also support the team in solving complex analytics problems, deploying solutions into the business and creating reusable data assets.

IT – you will learn how to work in an Agile environment (Scrum methodology) and to use industry-standard tools such as Jira. You will also learn about modern development methodologies and processes and help the team with tasks related to user and business engagement, understanding requirements and documenting them.

Powertrain Test Operations – you will support the improvement of the process of data flows through programming and automation. You will also support the reduction in the error margin of all data produced by vehicles and fixed facility and increase the speed of data production.

The Apprenticeship

The final year of your apprenticeship will see you complete your end-point assessment and achieve your Level 6 Apprenticeship, ready for an amazing career in Powertrain, IT or InDigital.

You’ll contribute to the business in your assigned role, as well as undertake additional study in your own time, to achieve your academic award.
