We are looking for an AI software solutions developer to work on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Sheffield and Logically Ltd, a leading technology company exploring advances in AI to tackle misinformation and restore trust in the news. You will become part of a dynamic team working on a unique and growing misinformation detection solutions development. You will take on a key role in the company software solutions team and be responsible for a wide range of tasks. You will be transferring AI and machine learning for visual content misinformation detection knowledge from the University of Sheffield to the Company and assisting with commercialisation of these new capabilities.
This position therefore offers you an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in the software solution development team. The position has arisen in line with expansion of the company into this unique and growing technical area and will be an exciting and varied role, which is mainly based at Logically Ltd’s development office in Brighouse, although occasional attendance at the University will also be required. As part of the KTP role, a structured training and development programme will be provided, which includes a personal development budget and attending two one-week residential training programmes at Ashorne Hill, Leamington Spa (Currently offered online) as part of the KTP project. The KTP will allow you to develop your commercial software development knowledge required to perform your role as an AI software developer. The successful candidate will work with appropriate team members to develop the new technical solutions.
You should hold a PhD in AI or deep learning or computer vision or in a related topic. Excellent programming skills in Python and machine learning programming libraries and packages, such as, Tensorflow and PyTorch are essential to the post. You should also have strong communication skills and be highly motivated to learn and develop new skills in this field. You should be able to work well both in a team and independently
