Santander Universities Launches The Black Inclusion Programme

Santander Universities UK’s mission is to support students from diverse backgrounds into university, work and self-employment.
Collaborating with a large network of university partners, Santander Universities UK has spent over ten successful years removing barriers to higher education and, in turn, providing life changing opportunities to students from right across the UK, by complementing existing studies, and amplifying your CV to the max.
Plus, if you’re looking to start out in business for yourself one day, having the financial basics down can only be a good thing, right?
In order to further this commitment, and to support under-represented groups in the workforce, Santander Universities UK has now joined forces with Finance Unlocked – a comprehensive, on-demand learning platform built specifically for financial education.
The two organisations have teamed up to run a new and exciting learning experience for Black and Black Mixed undergraduates and students who have recently graduated in the UK in the 2019/2020 academic year.
3,000 Black and Black Mixed undergraduate students and recent graduates from all UK universities will have the opportunity to complete an 8-hour online course provided by Finance Unlocked.
From basic financial concepts to advanced topics supported by real-life case studies, students taking part will be able to consolidate their learning and significantly enhance their skills, and students will get exclusive access to loads of valuable insights focusing on all aspects of finance including green finance, blockchain, private equity, financial crises, and more.
Upon completion of the content and online quizzes, students with an average score (across all online quizzes) of 80% or more will then have the opportunity to win a £1,500 Santander Scholarship!
30 of these students will then be randomly selected using an online random winner selection platform.
The lucky winners will be able to use the money to help them achieve their dreams; whether that’s through progressing their career, starting their own business or even helping to bring about change and opportunity to their community.
