Working at a number of 3rd party Authorised Testing Facilities (ATFs), you’ll use your knowledge and experience to conduct assessments on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet statutory standards.
As a Vehicle Standards Assessor (VSA), you’ll become a recognised expert in roadworthiness standards for the HGV and PSV industries. You’ll play a key part in providing a high quality service and offering advice on vehicle safety and maintenance

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years experience in the maintenance and repair of road vehicles (e.g. car, PSV, HGV)
You will also have excellent customer service skills.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to work within a wide geographical area and drive on DVSA business. You will be provided with a lease car to facilitate this.
Ideally, you should live within a 30 minute commutable distance to your preferred location selection.
These roles are normally full time (working an average of 37 hours per week, flexibly over the course of the year), but depending upon business needs and requirements, opportunities may exist for part time, job sharing and flexible working.
There is a physical nature to the role, which will require climbing up into larger vehicles to inspect the inside. There is also a need to climb in and out of a pit to inspect the underside.
