This role will play a critical part in the creation and maintenance of as-is, transition and to-be Solutions Architectures which meet the needs of DVSA. You will be given the autonomy to make and guide effective decisions, resolving technical disputes across varying levels of complexity and risk.
Roles Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Definition and selection of the IT applications required to support DVSA’s operations and back office functions.
- Creating and maintaining as-is, transition and to-be Solutions Architectures to meet the needs of DVSA.
- Supporting the development and delivery of roadmaps for logical and physical solutions.
- Produce solutions architecture artefacts.
- Working with Software delivery teams to ensure agreed patterns and standards are adhered to within projects.

To thrive in this role, you will hold experience working and performing the role of Solution Architect, Senior Developer or Senior Analyst. You will be able to demonstrate experience of code development and/or designing open source solutions, combined with an experience of working as part of a larger team of Service Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and DBAs on complex problem solving and solutions development. You will be able to simply and clearly communicate complex concepts and logical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
We would love to hear from individuals with a proven experience designing large scale cloud solutions. This individual will typically be adept at balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity.

Selection process details
This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.
