Job Description

Ofqual regulates qualifications, exams and assessments in England. We’re here to secure the standards of qualifications, to promote confidence in them and to ensure that the system works well – that standards are maintained.

We have one fixed term support officer post available, ending 31 May 2022, in the Standards for Design, Development and Evaluation of General Qualifications team in the General Qualifications Directorate.

Whilst the job description is generic to roles at this level within the directorate the focus of individual roles may differ. The focus of this post is outlined in the addendum to the job description.

This is a varied and fast-paced role. You would be responsible for coordinating and supporting the work of busy team. You will engage with a range of staff across the organisation and externally to ensure our processes run effectively and efficiently so we can make sure the qualifications are valid and standards maintained.
You must be capable of using IT systems and databases to create management reports and manage competing priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail.
