Job Description

The Student Wellbeing Service at the University of Greenwich is looking for a temporary part time Student Wellbeing Services Coordinator (Mental Health & Wellbeing), to support the implementation of the University’s ambitious Health and Wellbeing Strategy and to provide Mental Health advice and support to students. We are looking for a professionally qualified practitioner who has extensive experience in one or more of the fields of Mental Health, Social Work, and/or Clinical Psychology.

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of mental health practitioners to develop a holistic wellbeing service. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in supporting adults who experience mental health and wellbeing difficulties in a Higher Education setting.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will bring excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work within our dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Our aim is to take a proactive approach to student mental health and wellbeing and the successful candidate will demonstrate their knowledge and ability to utilise a range of interventions to ensure that students have access to good quality support. This will include undertaking outreach work to develop effective partnership working.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable with the ability to manage a high case load at peak times. You will have a commitment to following professional guidelines and a commitment to continued professional development, in line with the changing needs of students and the service.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced Data and Barring Service check.
