Welcome to the School of Education, University of Greenwich. An important goal of the School is the advancement of knowledge and professional practice through teaching, research, innovation and enterprise. The School of Education is split between our new ITE facilities at Avery hill and the newly refurbished Dreadnought building on the Greenwich campus.
The School is composed of six portfolios which allow us to organise our work into the different areas of activity. These include early years, primary education, secondary and further education, continuing professional development, and childhood and youth studies portfolios. The School offers several programmes, from undergraduate to Doctoral level, as well as a range of routes for initial teacher education. All programmes are carefully designed to empower and enable graduates to develop important knowledge and skills they can use to contribute to transforming classrooms, staffrooms, boardrooms, communities and society.
The School has numerous partners within and outside education and plays a pivotal role in community service at the local, national, regional and international levels. The history and reputation of the University of Greenwich and the School of Education makes us the preferred partner for educational consultancies and other partnership opportunities.
Although this is a teaching fellow contract, without a formal requirement for research practice, you will be joining a School and Faculty that is building a strong interdisciplinary and cross-professional approach to solving the grand challenges facing society. We are seeking applications for a senior teaching fellow who will be able to conduct high quality teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in primary education, specifically on the BA Primary Education with QTS, Primary education studies and PGCE programmes. The role will focus on delivering high quality education in a variety of formats.
