The School of Education and Humanities is seeking an enthusiastic academic with a strong background in Learning and Teaching to lead and champion the Academic Professional Master’s Degree Apprenticeship (APA) and the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP). You will need to be able to provide academic direction within the context of the University of Gloucestershire’s Academic Strategy and the specific priorities of the School and Academic Subject Community.
The Academic Course Leader Role for the APA and PGCAP also includes leadership of the internal HEA Fellowship Scheme. You may also be asked to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision within the School as required in line with subject expertise.
You will work closely with the Academic Subject Leader (ASL) to provide leadership on teaching, learning and assessment at course level, as well as intensively with students; with colleagues who teach and support learning on the APA and PGCAP and with other key stakeholders e.g. Advance HE and employers. You will need to ensure a continuous focus on enhancement to develop and maintain academic provision that delivers a transformational learning experience for students.
