Job Description

We have a great opportunity to join the finance business partnering team as a Senior Finance Business Partner. In this pivotal role, you will lead and shape the provision of high-quality finance business partnering services to the organisation, supporting and driving effective business decision making and strong financial management and planning.

This is a permanent role, that can be full time or part time to a minimum of 30 hours per week.

In this role you will report into the Head of Finance Business Partnering. You will be the lead representative for finance business partnering in assigned HMLR Directorates and Transformation Programmes, managing and developing a team of professional finance business partners who build and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders across the organisation. This will be a prominent role in HMLR working with HMLR Board members. You will join a dynamic team who are setting a high bar for finance business partnering across the civil service.

To be successful in this role you will be a skilled finance professional, with strong analytical ability and commercial awareness. You will have a strong ability to interpret, analyse, simplify and present complex financial information to senior stakeholders. Through your ability to effectively communicate and network, you can build and maintain a reputation as a trusted, influential and credible advisor to the most senior stakeholders in the organisation. You can exercise sound judgement in providing strategic financial advice, balancing the need to effectively challenge and support senior stakeholders and financial colleagues appropriately. You will have experience of developing, managing and delivering change and of remote management and development of staff. You can lead in building financial capability at all levels of an organisation and have experience of Government Finance and supporting HM Treasury-compliant Business Cases.
