Job Description

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross.

This Research Officer will primarily work on the Education for Wellbeing programme, two randomised controlled trials evaluating mental health interventions in schools. The Research Officer may also work on other research projects that concern the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. A substantial aspect of the role will concern liaison with a large number of schools. The post would be suited to a confident researcher with experience conducting quantitative research and liaising with multiple stakeholders.

The Centre has moved to a hybrid model of working. Staff are currently working 20% of their working hours onsite. From January 2022, staff will be required to work onsite for up to 40% of their working hours, either at the Anna Freud Centre in King’s Cross, London (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH) or our Northern Hub in Manchester (Huckletree, The Express Building, 9 Great Ancoats Street, Manchester M4 5AD).
