We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to support the delivery of the University’s Access & Participation Plan. You will also support delivery of an ambitious, five-year philanthropically funded project to inspire and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds across the North and Midlands, with a focus on STEM subjects, Medicine, Dentistry and Economics.

You will have experience of successful project management in a large organisation. Reporting to the Director of Academic Programmes and Student Engagement (APSE), your role will have a cross institutional reach, and will require you to work closely with University leaders, key stakeholders, and Professional Services Directors. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior colleagues and to engender trust and confidence across diverse communities of staff and students.

You will use formal project management techniques to ensure that targets are achieved, milestones met, and key performance indicators realised. You will put in place the frameworks needed to manage a complex programme of activities, monitor progress, and report outcomes. You will track budgets of c.£14m, supporting senior staff to make evidence-based investment decisions and ensuring value for money. You will be confident with data and able to produce accessible, high quality reports for internal and external purposes.
