Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an established clinical nurse academic to lead in the development and growth of nursing research. You will work across two world leading research environments to build upon existing capacity and capability and contribute to future growth and success. You will collaborate with existing teams within the NHS and University sector, help to nurture clinical nurse academics, as well as lead in your own field to generate income, disseminate internationally and create impact.

You should have a PhD in the relevant subject/discipline area, evidence of the ability to generate research income and be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.

The Division of Nursing & Midwifery is located within the newly formed Health Sciences School, an inter-professional and interdisciplinary research led School based within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health. In the most recent REF within our Unit of Assessment, 92% of our overall profile was rated world leading or internationally excellent. The Division of Nursing is the home for the Strategic Research Alliance and the Mesothelioma UK Research Centre and in the past three years has generated over £2M in research income.
