Product Specialist

Job Description

As a Product Specialist (Theory Test Publishing), you will play a critical role in the Theory Test team, ensuring that all elements of the service meet our customer, stakeholder and DVSA requirements.

The successful candidate will support the management of the day-to-day quality of the service received from the Test Engine and Test Content Management (TETCM) supplier and the quality of the Theory Test user experience being delivered to customers through this service and will support the management of the configuration of the DVSA TETCM service to ensure it continues to meet Theory Test Customer needs and DVSA requirements.

Working with the Product Manager (Theory Test Publishing), the role holder will support the planning, scheduling and deployment of Theory Test Content and Test admissions and Test delivery functionality required to improve the candidate and Test Centre staff user experience of the Theory Test, while protecting the integrity of the Service.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the operational delivery of the TETCM Service by the Supplier against the agreed Service Levels within the Service Level Agreement.
  • Support the evaluation of customer/candidate satisfaction with the TETCM services delivered by both the supplier and DVSA (in conjunction with the TTS Operational teams Content, Product Development and team).
  • Support the Product Manager (Theory Test Publishing) in the management of the product-relationship with the TETCM Service supplier.
  • Manage risks associated with the operation of the TETCM Service, managing mitigation plans for these risks with the Supplier and the Theory Test Service team.
  • Capture, collate and communicate issues with service delivery to the Product Manager (Theory Test Publishing), TETCM Contract Manager and TETCM Contract and Operational Delivery Manager to assist in the effective management of the contract and its operation.
  • Use expert understanding of the TETCM Service and wider Theory Test Service to resolve TETCM service delivery and operational issues with the Supplier and teams managing the Theory Test platform.
  • Provide expert input into any investigative work into problems with and opportunities in existing Test Publishing processes, taking the lead to manage the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyse service delivery reporting received from the TETCM supplier to contribute to the effective contract and operational management of the TETCM service.
  • Manage the day-to-day development, application and maintenance of a consistent visual and interaction design and Theory Test identity to the user interfaces being provided by the TETCM service.
