We have an exciting opportunity at the University Student Access to Mental Health and Counselling Service (SAHMS) for aprofessionally qualified, registered/accredited, mental health worker with demonstrable post-qualification experienceworking in the field of mental health, to join our established and expanding team of Mental Health and PsychologicalAssessment Workers.

SAHMS offers students at the university a single point of contact to access a range of mental health and psychologicalwellbeing services both within the University of Sheffield and within the wider community.

Our dedicated team of Mental Health and Psychological Assessment workers offer: 

• Triage assessments and signposting/or referral to ongoing service provision

• Follow-up support advice sessions

• Advice on student mental health to other university staff

We would like to hear from you if have experience in the assessment of mental health difficulties as well as a strong interest in working with students and student mental health. As the role involves working regularly with students with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, it is vital that you can work with patience, tolerance and sensitivity and have anon-judgemental approach when working with people from a range of different backgrounds.
