Job Description

We work with other Civil Service departmentsacross the spectrum of education to deliver on our priorities and to ensure thebest possible outcomes for learners in England.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic communicator to join our talented teamat Ofqual on a fixed term basis.
Following the cancellation of exams and assessments this summer, to help fight the spreadof Coronavirus, the work currently being delivered by Ofqual is of significantinterest to the public with regional, national, and specialist media reportingon the progress.

As our Media and Campaigns Manager you will be responsible for leading the tacticaldelivery of our external communications and media relations activity, and therefore will have a proven track record in managing media relations athigh-profile organisations.

Adept atturning complex information into concise copy, you will have a strong newssense, be able to manage a high volume of competing demands and have experiencein delivering multi-channel communications designed to inform and engage.

Educated to degree level, or with significant industry experience, this is a role for anexcellent communicator who is proactive, resilient and calm under pressure, andwho is able to deal with the here and now while simultaneously planning ahead.
