You will support our students to develop subject knowledge and teaching skills, sharing both practical expertise and relevant scholarship with students as an education studies specialist. At Senior Lecturer grade you would also be expected to take on coordination and/or leadership roles for our Further Education team and within the School of Education on arrival.
You will have:
- The ability to demonstrate a passion for teaching and students’ learning and be able to offer a clear rationale for your pedagogy.
- A good (normally a 1st or 2:1) undergraduate degree,
- A relevant postgraduate qualification (PGCert/EYITT/PGCE/MA/PhD),
- An equivalent level of professional experience or evidence of a commitment to obtaining a relevant higher degree/professional qualification.
You will, depending on your individual profile, contribute to a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and work-related programmes. Programmes are delivered across the full calendar year and can involve some work on evenings and Saturdays. You will be expected to travel to partner schools and settings supporting students’ professional learning in collaboration with a range of professionals from these placements.
