Job Description

The role holder’s will provide effective and efficient planning and logistics for Learning & Development (L&D). Ensuring that the right resource, right place, right time and fit for purpose equipment by producing learning delivery plans, resource plans and one DVSA collective annual plan in alignment with the financial bidding process with confirmed courses ahead of each quarter. Extracting accurate data from the Learning Management System (LMS) and other systems for quality Management Information (MI) to enable decision making.

Collaborate with L&D and colleagues to enable planning, administration, and logistics for L&D on behalf of the business. An essential member of the L&D Planning & Logistics team to develop colleagues, continuously improve, communicate, and support in embedding the L&D strategy in alignment with the People Directorate strategy to create clarity for customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the creation and adherence to standards, quality expectations and service levels.
  • Detailed budget tracking for financial controls (L&D and Travel & Subsistence (T&S) in accordance with good financial practices.
  • Collaborating with departmental Single Point Of Contacts (SPOC) to develop L&D delivery plan.
  • Collaborating with the business to plan resources to enable Training Delivery.
  • Collaborating with Talent Management to ensure administrative support.
  • Planning and providing subsequent logistics for all training programmes.
  • Modelling and delivery of plans to address business challenges and decision making.

You will work with colleagues, in your team and across the People Directorate, to bring the Directorate’s strategy, operating model and vision to life and deliver business objectives. Be open to new ways of working and contributing towards the People Directorate purpose.

You have strong attention to detail and can analyse a wide range of information with ease. Being able to communicate complex information to others so it is clear to understand.

We would welcome your application if hold a CIPD or Learning and Development qualifications, if you do not hold these then you will have the opportunity to gain these qualifications whilst in post.

Additional information

There will be some travel involved with this role, this will usually occur 1-2 times a year and may include overnight stays.
