Responsibilities
include (but not limited to):

• Ensuring the security of DVSA’s connection to the PSN and re-certification is maintained
• Continuously monitoring and assessing the shortfall between both actual security measures in place and those established at a policy level
• Directly managing external resources for testing and liaising with external security consultants
• Providing general security advice to business areas and projects
• Ensuring the production and review of information security policies
• Ensuring a prompt response to security incidents

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing, supporting or securing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems in a business environment. You should have an understanding of the requirements for government security in internet connected wide area networks. The candidate will need to have the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical audience.

Things you need to know
Security
Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check.
People working with government assets must complete basic personnel security standard checks.

Selection process details
This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours and Experience.
We are closely monitoring the situation regarding the coronavirus, and will be following central Government advice as it is issued. There is therefore a risk that recruitment to this post may be subject to change at short notice. In addition, where appropriate, you may be invited to attend a video interview.

Interviews are likely to be held the week commencing 14th December. This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
