We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated person to oversee the Financial Reporting and Compliance (FRC) function within the Finance Directorate. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and coordinate the work of the team. An essential part of the role will be preparing the consolidated annual financial statements and managing the relationship and deliverables with the external auditors. Good working relationships with all relevant internal and external contacts will be a key facet of the role.
The successful applicant must be a CCAB qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience. It is also essential that the successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible approach, the strong ability to self-manage and organise as well as a task and goal-oriented approach. Financial reporting experience within Higher Education is desirable but not essential
The post is fixed term for 12 months.
