The role

This is a new position that will enable you to create and shape the remit of the role to help The National Archives ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion is core to everything we do, and help us to make our vision a reality.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we adopt a holistic view of our diversity and inclusion work, bringing in new ideas and constructively challenging us at all levels of the organisation.

In order to support our sector leadership role you will work proactively both within the organisation and outside, establishing and realising value from networks and relationships within the sector, across Government, and with key strategic partners.

You will act as an expert sounding board for colleagues across the organisation who are delivering on our diversity and inclusion agenda in a variety of ways both internally and externally. You will also ensure, as well as provide assurances, that we are living up to the commitments we make within our strategies as well as our legal obligations in terms of our public sector equality duty.
