This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-profile role within our staff Equality and Diversity Team.
You will be responsible for project managing the implementation of our institutional Race Equality Action Plan and for the development of activities to enhance equality for our disabled staff. When the time comes for the university to renew its Race Equality Charter award you will take a leading role in this work and in developing further activities for advancing race equality for our staff.
You will have an excellent understanding of equalities legislation and issues and a good understanding of national equalities charters and benchmarks. You will be experienced in managing major projects across functional or organisational boundaries, in analysing and presenting complex data and in designing and delivering training and engagement activities. You will have excellent communications skills, the ability to influence colleagues at all levels and the ability to work in partnership with colleagues across the university.
