Job Description

Are you passionate about digital content and making sure it meets the needs of stakeholders?

The University of Sheffield is taking a fresh approach to its internal facing digital content, transitioning it to more secure platforms while making information more accessible, useful, and easy to find.

We are looking for a Digital Content Editor to work closely with colleagues in departments and central teams to improve the structure (information architecture) and quality of content on our internal web pages.
This will enhance the experience students and staff have of the University of Sheffield and its online touch points; providing content that is informative and engaging for a range of audiences.
You will take a leading role in auditing and rebuilding content to give users a positive experience. Using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will liaise with stakeholders from across the University. You will require strong organisational skills and be able to work efficiently on time sensitive projects.

Collaborating within a team of other Digital Content Editors and Assistants you will ensure digital best practice is embedded across the University through training and by guiding new editors. Hands on experience in UI design, prototyping and creating wireframes would be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the University’s intranet and develop experience within an energetic content team.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.
We are one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
