We are recruiting for two Detective Constable Crime Trainers within the continual Professional Development Department.

You will join our Learning and Development team based at our Padgate and Winsford HQ locations on a permanent basis.

If you’re looking to develop leadership skills, enhance your own learning and play a crucial part in ensuring the success of Cheshire’s future workforce this could be the role for you

You will be working with a wider team with varying skills and together be responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of training sessions to improve the capability of Police Officers and Police Staff across all levels.

You will do this by facilitating learning through blended learning approaches for training, psychometric tests, written assignments and feedback that fit the styles of the learner. As this isn’t a one size fits all approach. Your role will ensure that training sessions are delivered and assessed to meet both local and national standards.

As Crime Trainer you will provide developmental support through mentoring and coaching as well as creating learning plans with line managers and individuals.

We will fully support you in your development and will help you transition from Detective to Crime Trainer, to achieve this we will arrange a Training Essential Programme (TEP’s), which will certify you as an accredited skilled trainer, ensuring that you are equipped to deliver the force objectives.

You will have the opportunity to explore secondments throughout August and be able to welcome your evenings and weekends back in to your life.

Crime Trainers utilise their current skills and experience gained from being Detective and it’s your expertise that help shape future Detectives.
