Cheshire Constabulary has an exciting opportunity for a Detective Constable to join our People and professional Standards Counter Corruption team based at Winsford Headquarters on a permanent contract.
As a Detective Constable in Counter Corruption, you will be required to complete and maintain an ongoing threat assessment as to the areas and levels of vulnerability to corruption with the Cheshire Constabulary. You will develop and disseminate intelligence received from a variety of sources to support intelligence led policing within the Professional Standards Department.
Key to the role will be the ability to develop and progress covert proactive investigations, both criminally and within the Police Conduct Regulations, working in partnership with other forces and wider investigative organisations.

Qualifications & Experience
Must be a trained investigator with a proven investigative background (qualified to PIP Level 2).
Have a working knowledge and understanding of intelligence and the handling of intelligence.
Knowledge and practical application of covert investigations and / or tactics.
Have the ability, confidence and personal integrity to promote the standards of professional behaviour and the Code of Ethics across the organisation, which will include the delivery of training inputs to a wide range of police officers and members of staff.
Have an awareness of The Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020, The Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 2020, The Police (Performance) Regulations 2020, the IOPC Statutory Guidance and the Codes of Ethics.
Be prepared to undertake suitably identified training courses / packages.
