Job Description

We are looking to recruit three enthusiastic registered health professionals to join our growing academic team as we begin to deliver a blended learning nursing programme in Bath, Bristol, Swindon and Oxford, complementing our current allied health and nursing provision.

You will need a strong clinical background and evidence of supporting pre-registration programmes.

The Coach in Practice will support Assessors, Supervisors and Students in practice, assisting with ongoing assessment of students, quality assurance and the implementation of a student coaching model in practice.

The Coach in practice role will be pivotal in ensuring students are as prepared as possible for clinical practice from their first day as a student in a clinical area to their graduation as a registered nurse. It is essential that applicants are confident in their own knowledge, skills and ability to teach in their chosen clinical area. Applicants must also be able to manage their own time within agreed boundaries determined by University and local Trust partner.

The successful candidate will work between one of the university’s NHS Pods in either the Bristol area, Bath or Swindon. Some travel will be required to Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester and between local placement areas.

You will work closely with the Academic Course Leader, Strategic Lead for Partnerships and Placements and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for nurse education.

For an informal discussion please contact Nick Oxlade – Strategic Lead for Partnerships and Placements: noxlade1@glos.ac.uk
