We are offering the opportunity for a CAS Support Officer to join the International Compliance and Advice service, within the Directorate of Student and Academic Services. You will join an established CAS Team handling visa and immigration matters.

We are seeking to develop and improve the international applicant journey and increase international student numbers, whilst ensuring that the university remains compliant with UK immigration policies and standards and rigour are maintained.

Successful applicants will provide extensive support to the CAS Team in reviewing applications from students who require a visa to study in the UK, assessing them against current immigration policies and assisting the CAS Team in assigning a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to candidates who meet the relevant criteria. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of related processes, as we seek continuous improvement to ensure that our service remains consistent with the expectations of our applicants.

Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and motivated, with prior knowledge of the student visa immigration system. Full training and comprehensive staff development opportunities will be offered.

Due to the nature of this role, and the fact that it will require Home Office clearance to access the UKVI Sponsor Management System, we are unfortunately unable to consider any applicant who will require a Certificate of Sponsorship under Tier 2 of the Points Based Immigration System. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
