Job Description

As one of the UK`s leading work-based learning and apprenticeship providers, JTL is already a major force in the building services engineering sector – and we are now looking to build a team of Associates to provide occasional casework. As a JTL Associate, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for undertaking workplace NVQ assessment and technical reviews. It`s a varied and challenging role that calls for verifiable and relevant industry experience and current knowledge of industry working practices and techniques. If you have already worked with apprentices in a previous role, perfect. You will already know how to support and guide them through an apprenticeship. But as long as you have the necessary skills and qualities, we`ll give you all the support you need. The below will give you an overview.

Key Activities -Give support and guidance to apprentices through each year of their apprenticeship, as necessary, to support the apprentice to achieve Framework completion within the given time frames. -Proactively engage in customer focus, responding to any training needs/queries/issues raised by employers, apprentices or related parties in a timely and professional manner. -Ensure that the pastoral relationship with the apprentice actively safeguards and promotes their welfare. -Ensure Pre-Placement Assessments (PPAs) for new and existing employers are completed. -Carry out apprentice reviews, as necessary, whilst ensuring a minimum contractual requirement. -Complete all required administration documents following contractual guidelines and within given time frames

Essential Requirements -Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing, Plumbing NVQ 3 or equivalent. -Two years` relevant plumbing experience within a mechanical services organisation after achieving an appropriate qualification. -Good IT Skills. -Driving Licence and use of a car.

Desirable -GCSE English A-C, NVQ level 2, O`Level A-D or equivalent. -Recognised Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely). -Assessor qualifications (D32, D33 or A1/TAQA). -Working knowledge of the Contracting Industry / Building and Services Industry.
