Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University? We have an exciting new opportunity in the Academic Programmes Office for someone with higher education experience to join our team.
You will be educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience) and be a clear and confident communicator with data skills. You will have a good understanding of how programmes are structured and operate in a higher education environment, and experience of supporting high quality processes and services.
This post provides an exciting opportunity to support developments within the Academic Programmes Office to realise improvements in the way the University supports academic departments with the design, delivery, and assurance of their academic programmes.
The University is currently implementing a major £20m Student Lifecycle Project, which includes the introduction of a new student records system (SITS). This major piece of work is allowing us to review the services we provide and will bring benefits across a wide range of services provided to students; further enhancing the already award-winning studentexperience that the University of Sheffield provides.
Working with the Assessment and Progression Manager you will develop institutional frameworks, standard models, and guidance for academic programme design across the University and will support the development and review of the University’s policies and regulations relating to learning, teaching and assessment.
Building on the successful Programme Level Approach (PLA), you will be a part of ensuring that the design of our research-led programmes is under-pinned by consistent models to provide a common ‘Sheffield’ experience for all students, and to take advantage of the efficiencies of shared approaches. You will play a key role in our review, development, and adaptation of our institutional portfolio, to ensure we are meeting student needs, and are nationally and internationally competitive, attracting high achieving applicants from all backgrounds.
Interviews will be held on 22 March 2021. Full details will be provided to invited candidates.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University
